Materials

  • Himalaya Dolphin Baby yarn (100% polyester, 120 m/100 g) / YarnArt Dolce (100% micro polyester, 120 m/100 g) or Himalaya Dolphin Fine yarn (175 m/100 g, 100 % polyester) / YarnArt Dolce Baby: (85 m/ 50 g, 100 % micro polyester)
  • 4.0 mm/3.5 mm crochet hook
  • 12 mm glass cabochon eyes if you use Himalaya Dolphin Baby / YarnArt Dolce yarn
  • 6 mm glass cabochon eyes if you use Himalaya Dolphin Fine / YarnArt Dolce Baby yarn
  • Transparent glue (super glue, gel glue or silicone glue)
  • Black thread for embroidering a beak and paws
  • Sewing needle
  • Scissors
  • Fiberfill
  • Keychain ring

Free amigurumi owl keychain pattern

Abbreviations

R – row
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dec – decrease (2 sc together)
[…] – number of stitches you should have at the end of the row
(…) – repeat whatever is between the brackets the given number of times

Head and body (one piece)

R 1: 7 sc in magic ring [7]
R 2: (inc) repeat 7 times [14]
R 3-4: 14 sc (2 rows)
In the next row we will crochet wings:
R 5: 3 sc, wing: 2 ch, in the 2nd ch from the hook: 3 sc, sl st at the base of the loop, 7 sc, second wing: 2

ch, in the 2nd ch from the hook: 3 sc, sl st at the base of the loop, 4 sc [14]
R 6-7: 14 sc (2 rows)
Place the eyes between R 4 and R 5.
Stuff with fiberfill.
R 8: (dec) repeat 7 times [7]
Add more stuffing if it is necessary.
Fasten off.

If you want to make an owl with ears, then crochet the 3rd row in this way:
